Born in the red clay hills of Andalusia in Southern Alabama Dexter Orange spent his early years running the fields and forest and diving into the ponds living a carefree life. He and his family lived with his grandmother while his father served in the Air Force oversees. It was here at a very early age that Mr. Orange began to develop his love of books and his keen desire to want to understand everything about life. His family soon moved to Misawa, Japan to join his father on a military base. This city was strange and exciting and very different from his southern Alabama home. Mr. Orange was excited by the Japanese culture in which his family immersed him into. It was here that Mr. Orange feels he started his love for other cultures and the goodness that these wonderful differences in culture brought our world. After several years in Japan, Mr. Orange and his family eventually moved to Riviera Beach, Florida to be close to his father’s family while he served in Vietnam.

The lessons of Mr. Orange’s youth have been a motivation for his community involvement. Mr. Orange has lived in Rivera Beach for over 3 decades and has been actively involved in social and economic issues of the local community. Mr. Orange has always understood that a successful society must have a well educated people and considers it a privilege to be a part of Rivera Beach Maritime Academy family.

Mr. Orange has earned a Bachelors Degree in Business and an AA degree in International Economics from Florida State University.
